Opportunity International Australia exists to provide opportunities for people living in poverty to transform their lives. We use a business approach to solve poverty. Rather than a hand-out, we provide our clients with small loans (known as microcredit or a micro loan) to help grow their business. This enables them to earn an income and afford food, water, shelter and an education for their children.

We currently focus our work in India, Indonesia and the Philippines.


In 2011, Opportunity’s Ambassadors are aiming to raise $100,000 – equating to a hand up for approximately 1,750 poor entrepreneurs. You can help make this happen by supporting our fundraising events and activities – each dollar you donate will make a lasting difference.
